The drive health data that we do collect such as drive temperature, physical impact information, and number of deteriorated drive storage sectors sits behind a secure AWS firewall.
Do I need to be connected to the internet to use DA SmartQuest?
To experience DA SmartQuest’s full capabilites, which includes features such as multi-system drive health monitoring and email alerts, the user should install the application in “Cloud Mode”, which requires an internet connection. However, DA SmartQuest also offers a “Standalone Mode” for security-conscious organizations and individuals, which allows users to receive AI-based drive failure predictions completely offline, and doesn’t require an internet connection. Standalone Mode keeps all drive data on the device and utilizes an on-device AI model that is comparable to the AI model utilized in the normal “Cloud Mode.”
