AI-powered drive health monitoring and failure prediction, now for Mac users running macOS Monterey (Version 12) and onwards.
Introduction
Mac users have long had limited options when it comes to proactive drive health monitoring. Most available tools surface basic S.M.A.R.T. data without performing any further analytics. That changes today.
DA Drive Analyzer, the AI-powered drive health monitoring platform developed by ULINK Technology, is now available on macOS. Starting with macOS Monterey (Version 12) and onwards, Mac users can access the same drive failure prediction capabilities that Windows PC and NAS users have relied on, built on over 25 years of storage expertise.
The Same AI Intelligence, Now on Mac
The macOS release brings the complete DA Drive Analyzer experience to Mac users, starting with internal drive support. USB-attached drives are not supported in this initial release.
Here is what that includes:
AI-Based Drive Failure Predictions
Traditional monitoring tools rely on individual S.M.A.R.T. thresholds that only trigger alerts after significant degradation has already occurred. DA Drive Analyzer evaluates multiple drive health indicators together and tracks behavioral trends over time. The 2025 AI model recalls 13.7x more drive failures than S.M.A.R.T. trips.
Supports HDDs and SSDs Across All Major Interface Types
DA Drive Analyzer monitors SATA HDDs and SSDs, NVMe SSDs, and SAS/SCSI drives. It works with 99% or more of commercially available drive models.
Cloud Mode and Standalone Mode
Two operating modes give users full control over how their drive data is handled.
Cloud Mode connects to DA Portal, the cloud dashboard, for centralized monitoring, AI predictions, email alerts, weekly reports, and access from any device.
Standalone Mode runs entirely offline. All drive health data is processed locally on your Mac. No data ever leaves your machine. Drive data never leaves your device, the AI model runs on-device, and there are no cloud uploads of any kind. This makes it well suited for privacy-sensitive or air-gapped environments.
Daily Drive Health Monitoring
Drives are monitored continuously in the background. The app collects S.M.A.R.T. data, other drive health metrics, and system metrics automatically without requiring manual checks.
AI Radar Chart
The Symptom Radar Chart visualizes multiple health signals together, giving users a clear picture of where risk is building across their drives.
Threshold Alerts
Users receive both AI-based predictions and threshold-based alerts. In Cloud Mode, alerts are delivered by email and in-app. In Standalone Mode, alerts appear in-app.
DA Portal Access (Cloud Mode)
Cloud Mode users get access to DA Portal, the free online dashboard that provides a centralized view of AI predictions, drive health metrics, alert history, and drive counts across all connected devices.
DA Monitor Access (Cloud Mode)
DA Monitor, the desktop monitoring tool for fleet-level visibility, is also available to Cloud Mode users.
Privacy First, On Mac Too
DA Drive Analyzer analyzes drive health only. It never accesses or transmits user files, documents, or photos. Only anonymized drive health metrics such as S.M.A.R.T. attributes, temperature, and performance signals are analyzed. The platform is GDPR-compliant and built on a privacy-first architecture.
Who This Is For
DA Drive Analyzer for macOS is useful across a wide range of users:
- Mac users with important local data who want early warnings before a drive fails
- Content creators, photographers, and video editors working with large files on Mac who cannot afford unexpected drive failures
- IT administrators and MSPs managing mixed environments that include Mac machines
- Home lab users running macOS who want predictive monitoring rather than reactive alerts
Getting Started
Setup follows the same straightforward process as the Windows version:
- Install DA Drive Analyzer for macOS
- Activate your license and choose Cloud Mode or Standalone Mode
- Drive health data is collected automatically
- Receive predictive insights and alerts
A 7-day free trial is available with full access to all features, no credit card required. The first prediction is typically generated within 24 hours of installation. After the trial, licensing starts from $5 per year.
macOS Compatibility
DA Drive Analyzer supports macOS Monterey (Version 12) and onwards.
